pathfinder over heating
I have a 2007 pathfinder that is over heating. I have had a new fan assembly fitted, new raditor, hoses, thermostat fitted. I also have had tk test and a compression test done but it still gets hot. The air con cuts out once the temperature starts going up. Could it be a sensor problem? I am not losing coolant. Even though the tk and comp test come back as okay, the mechanics are telling me i should put a new head on. I don't want to spend $4000 only to find it is still over heating.

How do you know it's overheating? Do you have a temp gauge? Most of the time when one overheats, coolant is missing afterwards. Does the car run OK?

A cracked head will cause overheating but I doubt that is your case. Since you had work done in your cooling system, i., e., new radiator, etc., I suspect air may be present in your cooling system. Try bleed your cooling system.
