I just got my new 2007, so far, runs well powerful but I have just 2 complains, 1 - gears are a bit sticky, particularly first gear, is this expected to improve with age? and 2 - the engine idles high, 1500-1800 rpm, for first 3 or 4 minutes after starting, then settles down to where it should be around 700-800 rpm. Is this normal for all nissans, can the ECM be programmed for shorter or eliminate this period of high idle, your thoughts please ??

2007 Frontier SE, with 6-speed manual. We love this truck! We had an earlier rattle, but it has been resolved. Smoothest engine and transmission we've owned. We pull our 16 ft. Scamp trailer and get over 19 mpg. It will pull the Scamp over uneven terrain in 5th gear with a rare downshift. On the flats we can pull with 6th gear. The seats are a bit firm for the long haul, but the truck is a far improvement over our Mazda B4000. This one might be a long term keeper.

To Runner... This is normal "hi idle" for cold start up...I wouldn't try to adjust the idle, however, you can do so with consult.

I have my truck for 6 weeks now and have 2300 miles on it and couldn't be happier with my choice. This is my third Frontier.

This is my third nissan truck... The first was a 19961/2 hardbody that i put 175,000 miles on and i would give anything to have it back. What a great little red truck. In all i've owned 1 Datsun and 5 NISSANS... I hope you have as good luck as i have had with mine. P.S. DOGS LOVE TRUCKS!

Default all my Nissans

My first Nissan truck was a 1995 hardbody and my last one was a 2005 Titan which is a great truck too. So this is actually my fifth Nissan pickup. I also currently own a 2007 Pathfinder. In the past I had three Maximas (1987, 1989, 1998), three Quest vans (1997,1999,2002).
Can you tell I'm a Nissan fan? LOL

Default 2007 frontier

I got the 2007 frontier 6 spd NO ONE had a stick then the last 2007 2WD SE
was brought before me, It had a long bed and it is black I did not want black, I had a black truck for 13 years before this one. Oh WELL it grows on you and it looks killer when clean even only for a few miles But It hauls ass when you stand on it (my ranger 4.0 had 160 HP) 100 hp gain It coasts like it weighs 2000 lbs I like it

Thumbs up 2005 C/C Nismo

This is my second truck in 16 years. I must say I looked at all makes and models for about 6 months and this has got to be the best truck for my use and budget (Family of 4 + my dog , all for under 20G ), as it was purchased second hand from a former Nissan dealer owner its in great shape and has all the toys you could ask for. Now the only flaw that I have found is the ground clearence issue . For a truck that is supposed to be rigged for off road use its a little low. Aside from that the power is awsome, the looks are top notch and the interior is nicely appointed for a 4x4.

I have owned several diffrent vehicles from nitrous charged gt mustangs, gsx and gst eclipses, several rangers, sonoma's any ways you get the point...Frontiers stock would give several of these rides a run for its money. My 06 Crew Cab is a 6 speed and even with my lift and tires in 6th gear I'm still pulling maybe 2.15 rpm's at 70mph. Lots of Power, good gas milleage for a truck, fun to drive...what else can you ask for?
