When I worked for Nissan in the '90s-early 2000's, I found the component check for mass air sensors per the service manual to be iffy at best. I could pass every test on a MAS per the service manual but ultimately the MAS was still the culprit. I'm sure you already check for splits in the intake tube and other possible sources for unmetered air. Make sure you have a good ground connection for the MAS and battery voltage, as well. If you have a scan tool that can monitor live data, check the MAS reading at idle; it should be around 3.3 grams per second. If it isn't, then you have a problem and likely a bad MAS. You could go the extra mile and check the circuit between the sensor and the ECM and also try unplugging and re-seating the ECM connector before condoning the mass air sensor.

Thanks. I took voltage readings at MAS that were all in spec. Ground good. 11.6v at pin.
Will check for values at ECM. Thanks for feedback. Only have a OBD2 reader.
Is ECM on passenger side?

ECM is near the firewall in the passenger compartment, behind the center stack of the dash, on the floor (or tunnel).

Without a scan tool to monitor datastream info, there isn't much else I can recommend other than take it to a shop with the appropriate equipment or take a chance and replace the mass air flow sensor.
