1997 720 5 Speed Transmission Oil

Local guy in Auto store said GL 5 was OK for my transmission and then I read on the net that GL4 is what I need.

I had installed the GL 5 a couple of days ago.

Do I have a problem with draining the GL 5 and putting the GL 4 into the Transmission?

Flush needed before the GL4?

The GL 5 was said to ruin yellow metal in Transmission.

Any help will be appreciated.
