ABS and Brake Warning Lights
I have a 2001 Nissan Frontier XE King Cab, and last night while I was driving, I had a bunch of warning lights come on. I didn't feel or do anything out of the norm, but the ABS and "Brake" warning lights on my dash are on and won't turn off. I live hours from the closest Nissan dealership.
What could this possibly be and what should I check to make sure I'm safe? Is there a way to reset the warning to see if it came on in error? Please advise. Thanks! |

Start by checking the brake fluid level. If the level is OK than you need to have some one with a Nissan CONSULT check for codes.

To give more details with the problem now that it's been going for a little bit. The problem is temperamental. I'll start the truck in the morning, it'll have the warning lights on. Start the truck again at lunch and the lights will be off. Sometimes I'll start the truck at the end of my day and the light will be on, but turn off during my drive. Weird, huh? Well, I haven't checked the brake fluid yet, but I will and hopefully that'll resolve the issue.
Else, I guess I'll drive a couple hours to my nearest Nissan Dealership to make sure it isn't something serious. :-( |

Wow. The brake fluid wasn't low, but I topped it off and it solved the problem. Thanks for the help.
