Default cvt automatic transmission oil capacity and process to change oil

I have a 2009 altima which sufferd front-end damage. Lost transmission fluid and radiator had to be replaced. A friend added regular automatic trans fluid instead of cvt/ns-2 nissan oil. I need to evacuate all of the now contaminated oil and replace it completely. What's the procedure and how many quarts does it take. I assume the trans oil pan needs to be removed; does anytrhing else need to be opened or vaccumed?

If you didn't drive the vehicle then you can flush it out. It will require the use of a transmission flush machine. If the car has been driven with the wrong fluid it may have already caused damage.

Thanks for the info. The vehicle has been started several times; to load and unload from trailer and moved approx 50 yards. It's low on oil and was making a semi-high pitch humming sound! It also did not accelarate like it should. It seemed to be slipping; so I parked it. What do you suggest? Is the flush machine absolutely needed, or can I change the oil another way?
