I know that there is also an adapter to install from vehicle brakes to trailer brakes. Does anyone know definitivly whether or not I have to buy an additional relay. The site referenced below only indicates this for certain 2006 models. see:

someone help me here.... i just found a tube/hose that is attached to the tranny on the driver side, and is running up and clipped to my airbox. Is that some kinda breather? Only one end is connected to the transmission and the other one doesnt connect to anything. It only hangs on the side of the air filter box. Is this where it's supposed to be? What is it for?

I am asking cuz i am planning on installing a Volant CAI on the truck and i dunno what this hose is for and where it should be

Turned key this morning and nothing. Tried it again and it started. The a/c blower was going full blast and could not be controlled by the fan switch. I turned the car off and tried to start it again - nothing. The battery is good. There is a ticking noise coming from the fuse box under the hood; the "horn" fuse is ticking. There is also a clicking sound somewhere else (I can't locate it). All this is with the key out of the ignition. Any ideas?

:mad:I just snapped the lower intake stud on my 1999 Nissan Pathfinder just as HolyJaguar did recently in this previous post.
http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/frontier-hb-truck/11659-knock-sensor-replacement-snapped-4-lower-plenum-stud.html#post46848
Only the stud on my engine broke/ shattered lower and very jaggedly ! I spent $80 on a torque wrench, what a waste! I would have been better off without it. This was the first time that I used a torque wrench. I evenly torqued slow and steady from bolt #1 - #8 stepping up the foot pounds in small increments as stated in the Haynes repair manual. I never heard the "click" that the wrench is supposed to make or "felt the free play" as mentioned in the directions. I was nervously thinking, if I go any further the bolt will snap, then "SNAAAAAP"!
Thanks to a post in the above link from DarkPath, I know where to find a replacement, but should I ?
? # 1-Will the engine leak if I don't or will further damage occur if I don't fix it?
? # 2-What about the new gaskets that I just put on, can I re-use them? if so, do I now have to use RTV silicone on them? (I don't know if this matters, but the engine wasn't stated up, obviously).
? # 3-How are these bolts fastened to the block? Are they screwed in?
? # 4-Should I forget about using the torque wrench again and just make it good n' tight?
? # 5-Are the Lbs. specs crucial?
Thanks!

Hello, My pathfinders coil springs are ready to be replaced, but I refuse to spend the 500 bucks at the Nissan dealer, and for anyone who does own a 3rd gen pathfinder, aftermarket coils almost don't exist. Anyhow I have found a set of Old Man Emu coils that will raise the truck exactly .5 inches. Do I need to pair them with the Old Man Emu shocks (which might be longer traveling shocks)? Or will my practically brand new KYB gr-2's accomodate the larger spring?

Thank You

Hi,

I bought my Pathfinder a few months ago and it just seems to be throwing up various codes.

Initially I was getting P1320, and then a couple of weeks ago it also started to throw out P0158

I thought I would give the car a quick service before starting to look into any of the codes so new oil, plugs filters clean coil connectors and a reset later still throws up codes

This time i'm still getting the P1320 but now i'm getting a P0135, the P0158 seems to have gone away and hasn't returned in over 500 miles (it was popping up within 5 minutes before my service)

Could the P1320 be confusing the 02 sensors?

i was thinking of looking at the Crankshaft Postition Sensor next, is this going to be the best place to start?

Any advice is welcome

I have a 05 Pathfinder, and the other day my wipers started to act strange , When switched on they work for a while (say 40 wipes) then they stop dead in random areas of the windshield for say a minute or so and then they start going again.

Another problem is when i try to turn them off, they will not stop.

My mechanic has ran diagnostics on it and is able to make them work ok when commanded by diagnostic unit.

Relays appear to be ok.

there was a U1000 error listed.

any ideas ??
