I was thinking of getting Konis for it and would anyone know where I can get the KONI Sports Suspension set AT A REASONABLE PRICE? I bought a set from my other car a few years back and can't remember what the name of the store was in CA. IT CAME IN A BOX WITH THE 2 FRONTS AND REARS WITH THE COILS AS WELL. Or should I stick with the original suspension it came with. Thanks guys.

I have changed my plugs which was quite a experience getting to the rear 3 plugs but found a nice thread to help out. The old plugs were so worn, i couldnt believe the car was running so well or even running at all,( there gaps were huge with the center prong burned way down). I expected to start getting alot better gas mileage after replacing these but actually think Im getting less. Im averaging about 21mpg with alot of highway driving, thought i should be getting alot better.
question?
Do I need to reset the ECM after changing the plugs?
Do I need to have the timing adjusted? if so, where do you advance and retard
What mileage should i be getting?
Any suggestions on how to improve MPG?

Thank you,

Hi,

I am going to install an in-line FM modulator so I can play my MP3 player through the car system. I have a 2002 Maxima with the Bose in-dash unit (The one that is a 6 disk changer). Does anyone know if the antenna connector on it is the standard Motorola style? Or is it different? I want to find out before removing it so I can buy an adapter if needed, and have it ready to go for the installation.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced leaky sparkplug well or tube seals. I understand that the complete valve cover assembly has to be purchased as the seals are integrated with the valve cover assembly. Does anyone have any old valve covers laying around left over from a replacement job? If anyone has an old one sitting around would they be willing to send it to me for research purposes? Thanks

CV Axel Replacement - passenger side questions

I am new here and was hoping to get some advice. I need to replace the CV Axle on both the driver and passenger sides. I have done this once before on a different vehicle which wasn't too bad. Last night while attempting to remove the passenger side, I noticed that the axle didn't just slide out. It appears that there are 3 support bolts that need to be removed first.

How hard is it to remove the three bolts and does the axle pretty much slide out once those are removed?

The drivers side should be a lot easier, correct?

I am hoping to get off work early and try it again. Any tips or pointers?

I have an automatic transmission, no anti-lock breaks if that information helps.

hey everyone. i been frustrated all day trying to figure this problem out and googling it. i need to make a decision asap and quick responses will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 98 nissan maxima automatic. the car was working fine yesterday until my dad unplugged the positive and negative cables from the battery. he also disconnected the black anti theft relay and put it back together.

now the car won't start and crank and when i turn the key to start it, it clicks once and all of the lights starts to flash repeatingly. along with a repetitive clicking noise like the turning left/right signal noise. I'm thinking that we triggered the alarm. also there is a blue light where the pedals are that keeps blinking too

We tried unplugging the battery cables again and nothing works. Radio works, headlights work, battery charged, tried jumping and it didn't work, dashboard lights work, it just won't crank or start. PLEASE help!! i have until tomorrow afternoon.
