I own a 2004 Nissan Frontier 3.3 L V6 4x4 and I am getting hesitation in accelerating. The Check engine soon light had come on and I received the p0328 code (knock sensor). I have since changed to premium fuel, put in fuel injector cleaner twice, changed all 6 spark plugs, and the air filter. I noticed that I have a little more power but it still feels like the engine is missing when I am stopped at a red light.

The Nissan shop tested the spark plug cables and the catalytic converter and said that they were in proper working condition.
Do you think that I should replace the knock sensor? Do you believe it to be a knock sensor problem or something else causing the missing? Thanks Chris

I took the panel off and its not the lock. its like there is something in the white hear box thats stripped or broken. I was wondering how I can get it open.

the other thing is that my driver side door is falling or something... when you close the door it comes up about 1/4 inch in order to latch... is there any way to re-adjust this
I need help fast, my truck is in the shop for some repairs, the guy is telling me that my power steering belt needs to be replaced. I was wondering if this is something I can do or is it really hard? I fix airplanes for the Navy so I do have some maintenance background. I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier King Cab 6 cyl.

SES light on with code P0420. 2001 frontier 4 cylinder, 90,000 miles. If it is a bad convertor, would it be the one that is between the oxygen sensors or the one behind the second oxygen sensor? I downloaded the engine control manual and it only shows the "three way catalyst" that is located after the second oxygen sensor. Thanks in advance.

I had an interesting experience when I changed the lube in my tranny. Both the owner's manual and the Chilton's specify a 75w/85 GL-4 lube. I had this service done at a local shop and they put 80w/90 GL-4 in it and assured me it would "work the same". I immediately experienced stiffness in the shift lever, particularly from 1st to 2nd. I drained this fluid right away and replaced it with the Nissan 75w/85 Manual Transmission Fluid. I did the work myself. There was immediate and significant improvement in the smoothness of the shifting. I voiced my unhappiness with the shop that put the 80w/90 lube in my tranny. The local Nissan dealer was nice enough to give me a price break on the lubeI bought. After doing some research I found that these transmissions are very sensitive to the lube in them. I heard that the 75w/90 synthetics work good but I think I will stick with the stock stuff for now.

I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier SE equipped with the 4.0 V-6 engine, 6-speed manual transmission and 4WD. The owner's manual lists the transmission gear oil capacity as 2 3/8 quarts, the Chilton manual 4 3/8 quarts and a different Nissan website 8.9 pints. What is the true and accurate capacity for my transmission? There is a big difference between what the owner's manual and other sources say.

I recently had to take my 05 off the road for about 20 days. Truck was running great before i took it off. When went to start it, a cell in the battery was gone so I got a new one. When I went to start the truck, it didn't turn over right away, but then started on third try. Battery light, check engine light and brake light all came on. Then the truck made the worst noise i have ever heard, a real sharp ping noise like something broke. Before this noise i smelled burning rubber. Any thoughts?
