free dealer repair for vent control valve

i was reading that there are some directions from nissan to fix different emission problems for customers at no charge. i think they called it a TSB or something like that.

i have an 04 frontier with the ses light on. i took it to the dealer and they said it was the vent control valve ..... 150 for part 350 to install. it cost me 115.00 just to tell me that.

i can't afford that right repair now and have to go on a trip.

first, is it dangerous or damaging to continue to drive?

second, is there a TSB for 04 frontiers with a vent control valve problem?

also, as soon as i left the nissan dealer i went to autozone and had the guy there do a comp check on it.

he said almost always it's just a gas cap. so i bought one ..... 10.00.

he said it'll take about 50 miles of driving or a couple of days to have ses light go off if that was the problem.

ANY TSB's OUT THERE ? i hear they throw a lot of weight at the dealer.

any other suggestions?

$350.00 to install a vent control valve??????? We get $85.00 for labor on those.
