Default Armada GVWR change

New guy here. I have a 2006 Off Road SE rated at 7000. The GCWR was also changed from 14,822 to 15,100. The 2008 and later are now rated at 7300 which is much more competitive with Ford/GM for payload. 7000 results in a poor payload vs. Ford and GM/Chevy. I have asked Nissan customer service and local Nissan techs if there were any structural changes that resulted in this 300 lb increase. All have said no. Nissan said it was a re-classification. My question is, can I reasonably consider my 2006 to be safe at the GVWR of 7300?

Incidentally, the GAWR for front and rear add up to 7600 so it seems to me that 7300 would be more reasonable.
