Adding Backup camera
We recently purchased a 2006 Nissan Armada. Wife wanted the new vehicle so badly, that we purchased from stock rather than waiting for a vehicle with all options she wanted. Now, she is somewhat disappointed and wishing she hadn't been in a hurry.
The vehicle does not have the NAV system or backup camera. The dealer has said they can add the factory NAV system in for something like $2495. I'm trying to find out if it is possible, once the NAV system is in place, to add the factory backup camera system (that uses the NAV display) in. I'd think this could be done, but would ultimately come down to whether or not the wiring harness is in place to support it. Haven't been able to get a clear answer on this and the approximate cost if it can be done. |

trying to lend a hand even though im late to the party here...
stock model does not have the wiring harness for the camera. you need to purchase the camera housing which is a different handle on back and you would have to run wiring yourself. i have an SE and purchased the rear cam housing and used a 3rd party camera. ran wiring down to the NAV unit. i have a Clarion in the armada. works like a champ. |
