Air shocks rear not inflating
Have a 2004 Armada. Air shocks real are not inflating. Mechanic tried to check it but says needs machine which can read codes of Nissan.
Not sure if air pump is shot or shocks or both or neither. I heard Nissan had problem with these shocks. Is there a service bulletin on this. Does anyone know? Where is upper mounting for the rear air shock located? Can I get to it from inside the vehicle? Thanks NISRJZ |

Do you hear the compressor running? It is common for the compressor to fail.

agree with MPE235. The compressor is common to fail, actually rust out due to the location.

nissan air shocks rear reply
Okay, thanks guys. I'll have the compressor checked out. I agree the location of the compressor is sort of dumb. They should have encased it in plastic shrouding or something.
Anybody aware of recall on the shocks themselves and how long do they usually last....the air shock itself? Nis rjz |

How expensive to replace? Can I put a regular rear shock in, instead, and can I purchase them from Nissan? Please respond. Thanks. |

I don't need air shocks. Can Nissan supply a regular shock for the rear wheels? Is anybody out there in Nissan Land able to answer this or refer me to a shock manufacturer who can help me? 44 Guy |
