Default 06 armada turns off and wont start.

my armada has turned off in mid-flight and turning the ignition only seems to make the engine choke. When it's about to turn off the engine light, oil, and brake light come on. Then the brakes lock and the motor turns off. After this it takes a while to turn back on and when it does it's like nothing happened. Recently, I can't get it to start. I've been told it was the crankshaft sensor and then the fuel pump. It was neither. Any advice is appreciated.

Have you check for codes stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM)? if there any problems with the crankshaft position sensor or other component it should be saved in the ECM. Some auto parts or shops can read the codes free for you.

Thank you for replying!
At one point the ECM read it was the crankshaft sensor and it was replaced. Soon after (about 2 wks) it started again. Then I'm told it was the fuel pump, also not it. It's been a 2 wks and no one can tell me what it is.

Unfortunately I never had that problem before, check the air flow meter and air filter condition. Bad air flow meter can cause similar symptoms. Do you have any aftermarket engine accessories?

I was told so many "could be's" In the end it was the fuel pump. Even though the computer never detected it. Now the car runs great.
