Which light? The Front Passenger Air Bag Status Light or Supplemental Air Bag Warning Light?

Until a Specialist replies...A few things...

1. I pulled this from your Owner's Manual...

Any of the following conditions occur, the supplemental front air bag, supplemental side air bag, curtain air bag and pre-tensioner seat belt systems need servicing:

. The supplemental air bag warning light remains on after approximately 7 seconds.

. The supplemental air bag warning light flashes intermittently.

. The supplemental air bag warning light does not come on at all.
Under these conditions, the supplemental front air bag, supplemental side air bags and curtain air bag or pre-tensioner seat belt systems may not operate properly. It must be checked and repaired.

Take your vehicle to the nearest NISSAN dealer.

2. You can try disconnecting your battery for 20 minutes or so. That "might" reset the light (if their is no problem).

3. By any chance - were you messing with any of the wire harnesses?

4. I pulled just the Diagnostic Procedure/Reset out of your Service Manual Section SRC - SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) that might help you.

Once you finishing with the "blinking light" resetting the light will occur once you turn the key off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on again - this puts it back in "user" mode.

Let us know if this works!

Bring it to the dealer and have them check this out. It is on and flashing that means a component has failed. If you still have warranty it should be fixed.
