Default P0325 & p1446 Nissan altima

My SES light is on; there are two codes P0325 (Knock sensor) and P1446 (EVAP Canister valve). I have been reading a bit about them in forums and DTC Diagnosis P1446, P325 and I guess these two codes are not related, Am I right?

And I see folks mentioning that Kock sensor malfunction itself won't throw a SES light. So I am focussing on getting rid of P1446 code.

Looks like I need a 12V DC supply to test the EVAP valve. Any ideas on where I can find a simple 12 V DC supply to test it. I looked for a 12 V DC external supply in Home Depot, Radio Shack no luck. Couldn't find a 12 V Battery either...

Please help...

Excellent choice.

Just connect to long wires to the car battery, that's how I do it.
