2003 Altima adding trans fluid. (MANUAL)
Guys i need to add trans fluid after replaced a CV Axle ( MANUAL TRANSMISSION). Can someone tell me where the filler hole is. I see something that looks like it could be it. It has a red nut-like cap, in the transmission area, next to where the CV Axle goes in.
Do i need a special funnel or something? Also how do i know when i've added enough? PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PICTURE. |

"theayeman" tutorial is much more clear than the service manual. You need to fill 5 Pints or 2-1/2 Qt. Also a funnel with long (at least 3 inches) flexible tube. You can buy a more elaborate one for about $7. The 5 pints is for complete change out. If your only adding, just estimate how much was removed, or fill to the filler hole.
