Default 96 Altima check engine light

Hope some one can help. My 96 Altima is giving of code p0505 and its my understanding that this is IACV idle control problem. The car's check engine light is on but runs great.

Until a Specialist replies...I pulled the DTC P0505 pages from your Service Manual Section EC - Engine Control System.

If all if running smooth - you might consider having the code cleared and see if it comes back.

I agree with vpnavy, you should erase the code for now. Sometimes that codes is trigger by low battery charge.
