Default 1994 Altima Engine Motor mounts replacement

Still trying to clear up problems on the 94 Altima GXE Automatic. I have a weak Motor Mount of the front (belt side) of the motor. It is causeing vibration to the body. I wonder if someone could tell me the steps for replacing it. If it's not too difficult I will give it a try. I see several people manufacture the mounts and would appreciate recommendations. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Default 2nd that motion on a 1999 Altima

I'm looking to do the same on my '99. My hood, windows, seats, and dash vibrate at idle. Help is greatly appreciated.

Remove the cross-member.
  1. Use a jack to support the engine. Preferable close to the cross member, but not too close or on the oil pan.
  2. Remove the bolts that holds the cross member (See Figure #1)
  3. Remove cross member, with the mounts attached from the vehicle.
  4. Replaced the mount(s).
  5. Reinstall the cross-member. (See Figure#2)

Thanks, I am just going to do the top right one for now. I hope it is the easiest one. Maybe that will help a bunch. I guess it gets the most stress from torque. Happy Holidays

Default Update on motor mount replace

Hey Nothot,

I was wondering how the motor mount replacement went. I have a 01 Altima that needs the same replacement. How much trouble was it changing it out? Thanks.

The motor mounts need replacement on my Altima, too; I'll post a thread when the job is completed. I have a 1994 Altima GLE with sideskirts, rear spoiler & 4 wheel disc brakes (SE options?).

How does the inside trunk release mechanism repaired on a 1994 Nissan Altima. There appears to be 12-VDC supply constant to the solennoid; is this normal or only to be supplied when the lever is actuated?
