Default Cracked Head Gasket?

2002 Altima, 4 cyl, started using coolant and water. Have now noticed white smoke coming from the tailpipe and some sludge in the oil filler. Have thought and looked at some block sealers like Thermogasket. Is something like this worth the try before replacing the head gasket? Also does anyone know of the best product to use for it? Have not seen any liquid on the ground or in the car from the heater, can only assume its going thru the engine. Also appreciate any do's or don'ts about trying this.

pull the spark plugs and look into the holes with a light. youo will probably see some liquid on one or more pistons. if so, that is where your leak is.

the only way to fix it is to replace the head gasket. this may be more labor than you can do, but it needs to be done. all a block sealer will do is clog up oither parts of your engine. call a couple of dealers and see what they wnat for it.

i had the same thing happen to my 02 Sentra. it cost $1500.
