Default 2002 nissan altima starter/replacement

hey guys iim in need of your help. i looked around the site and found the service manuals but for some reason i wasnt able find anything for replacing the starter. so i was wondering if anyone had it and could lend a helping hand. or make a post on the instructions on how to replace one. thanks in advance.

thanks. but i think this picture is dated for a 3.5 engine build. but my car is a 2.5. but thanks. im glad that everyone here is bound to help a fella like me in need.

Did you check to see if the starter wasn't in the same position? I just looked at the Service Manual again and that was the only picture.

The starter is pretty simple to change. Remove the air cleaner upper housing and hose. The starter will be on top of the transmission. Pull the shifter cacle out of the bracket and bend it up a little. Unclip the wiring harness from the shift cable bracket and slip it up over the bracket. This will make it easier to get to the bolts. Unbolt the starter wire and unclip the solenoid wire. Remove the 2 mounting bolts. One has a 14mm head and the other has a 17mm head.

Oh and be sure to disconnect the battery first.
