How to disable automatic door unlock?
Our 2009 Altima automatically unlocks ALL doors when we press the button to turn off the engine. This makes my wife nervous, since it would allow an intruder to get into the car when she pulls into a parking space and shuts the car off. Is there a way to disable this feature?

See your owner's manual. The instructions on how to activate/deactivate the automatic locking/unlocking can be found there under "Pre-driving checks and adjustments". It looks like you will lose the automatic locking though.

Yup, it's on pages 3-5 and 3-6. I always sit down and read through the manual on any car I buy, and did so with this one, too, but I missed that section. Thanks for the "head slap" to remind me!

I didn't put the page numbers because sometimes they are different between Canadian and US editions. Turns out the manuals must be the same and they've just changed some references.
