Lightbulb New Service Manual

We have just added the entire service manual in one folder for 2003-2005 Nissan Altima. The manuals are available for subscribed members only and are compressed with WinRAR. You have to uses WinRAR to decompress the files; you can get the program free from here: WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

The manuals are here: http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/local....php?catid=421

I prefer to get another sections of the service manual from my 2004 Altima in PDF format the old way. I login, the go to http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowl....html?catid=16 which gets me started on 2004 Altima service manual. I see that I have allowance for 1 file on this day with zero used. But instead I always download a file 82.html which says "only available to registered user", (which I am). Why can't I get these PDF s, the same way I got a couple last week?

I would really like to avoid downloading and installing the WinRAR extractor.

Panache, what section you want to download? There are 6 sections in the 2004 Altima, none of those are compressed. Could you please post the link of the page where you can't download. Thanks

Here is how I try to download PDF chapters of Altima 2004 service manual:

I get myself to:

http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowledgebase/links/82

now I see the various PDF file, e.g. at top: "Audio and Video System 2004..." All the PDFs now fail to download as follows:

When I do a right click on the PDF link, and select "save link as (name)", I am frustrated to be told on an HTML page that I have exhausted my daily ration of one download per day. But that's nonsense, since I have downloaded nothing from Nisson on this day, and am so recognized after login.

If I right click and use any other option I still get that same wrong html file which thinks I have exceeded my download ration. The downloaded HTML file is call 82.html

I downloaded a couple of these PDFs last week with no problem on sequential days. This week, I get this runaround.

Perhaps whoever set up the new complete Service Manual in one file has disabled this alternative PDF individual download function? If so, I hope that action will not be sustained.

I checked the all the links and your account and all checked OK. Try clearing the cookies of your computer. Our system is working OK, just today we had more than 500 downloads with no problem.

Let's assume that clearing my browser cookies will work. However it does not work TODAY because your computer program knows that a given registered user has downloaded ANYTHING, including the message, 82.html, which only says (wrongly) that I have already downloaded something on this day. That's true for me on this day because I already made a download attempt BEFORE I cleared cookies. Even a user that correctly guesses (as I had) that one must clear cookies, has to be a qualified detective to realize that one must clear cookies BEFORE attempting download because the program is not programmed to know the difference between a download of what nissan file the user intended to download, and a diagnostic that the user gets from the program because the program failed to clear cookies (as is reported) when one is logged off.

My problem may be because I have been using Safari Mac browser, and your program may be able to clear cookies on more common browser types. Also your program has failed to make an exception when the only download the users gets is a system diagnostic.

I suspect I can make this download arrangment work by FIRST clearing browser cookies at beginning of a given day, probably just the Nissan cookies. I may need to avoid Safari for this task. I'll try the various permutations over the next few days, and let you know what it takes for me to make this work.
