Sorry didn't notice this was for Altimas when I posted. I was desperate to figure out what was happening. But interesting what you post about the throttle body because that is what the fix was. They replaced it and I have no more error code. So good to know for all models....

Some parts on Nissans it's best to stick with OEM, as quality control on the aftermarket isn't always the best, especially on remanufactured, electrical/electronic parts and ignition system components. That includes any engine or emission sensor, starters, alternators, distributors and coil/coil packs.

I tried a third party MAF and it was not good. Comparing the 2 by observation you could not tell the difference. They looked identical. It turned out to be a piece of junk. paid $22.00 for it on ebay and was a waist of money.
Like the man said, stick with OEM electronic stuff. In my case their was a service bulletin about reprogramming the ecu and that fixed mine. This was relevant to 2011 and 2012 Altimas. |
