Default Another MAF issue?

Quick version, we spent 900$ getting MAF replaced last time the "readout" said it was the issue.

So the vehicle is doing it again, idling ok, but when accelerating "in park" it really drops RPMs, backs off and trys again.
Trying to drive this machine is a nightmare/impossible short of a few blocks.

Since then, I hooked up my own OBD unit to my lap top and have got the following codes, all MAF related.

P1102
P0102

I have tapped on the MAF and nothing i noticed occured

Any advice?

Removed the MAF, "looked" good, no telling how the circuits were though. Just curious we'd need second in 2 yrs.

Car has higher mileage, 240,000
No other major issues I can think of.

Need some advice if its out there.

I have a rip in the hose that is past the MAF it look like. But it is located on some weird J shaped tubing that doesnt appear to go anywhere.

Could this be the woe of all my problems?

I'll attach a picture for clarity

Are you talking about that small plastic piece coming out of the MAF hose that is connected to the top of the engine with a rubber hose? I have posted some images of it at the bottom, hopefully that is what you are talking about because you are missing that rubber hose going to the engine.

Take a look at the link I finally got up.

I doubt it is that thing you are referring too at all.

In fact the one in my hand is shaped more liked Gonzo's nose ans dosen't go anywhere, as in its closed at the other end.

I paid 55$ for 2 folks to come look at it today.
We'll see.

When you say, "rip in the hose that is past the MAF" do you mean more towards the block or towards the fender? I can't find that particular piece on my vehicle, either its a new part for the newer year or i somehow overlooked it. Either way, bennyb53 is correct, an intake air leak for sure.
