Default Altima p0335 code

My 2005 altima is putting out the p0335 code so I changed the crankshaft positioning sensor and still putting the same p0335 code and acting crazy, drives better but rough starting and as crazy as it seems you have to pump the gas to get it to start if you don't pump the pedal it just slowly cranks with out an attempt to start. Some said to change the speed sensor or the coolant sensor but I don't just want to replace parts that's not broken.

Have you double checked if you have installed the sensor in properly? What about the connector that connects to the sensor, have you double checked that connector to make sure it fully is connected right? Has the P0335 code disappeared or does it still remain? Same thing with the "Service Engine Soon" light being on, is it still on or has it turned off? Do you have the 2.5 or the 3.5 model? The sensor that you replaced was on the rear driver side of the engine facing the firewall, correct?

The sensor I replaced is on the driver side next to the thermostat. It's seated and secured right. Some said that there might be two but I have no idea where the second one might be. I erased the code after installing the new sensor but after about three start ups the check engine came back on. Drives good, just horrible to start you have to treat it like a catburated car.

No, you shouldn't have to erase the code because it should automatically be cleared after the defected sensor has been replaced with a new sensor. The Crankshaft position sensor is on the rear portion of the engine against the firewall on the driver side and it is a blind spot so you'll have to work with either using mechanic mirror or just the feel of the bolt from the sensor. Here is a video that will show you both sensors and there locations.

Well, there is a Camshaft position sensor and a Crankshaft position sensor that i know of for the 2.5 models. The Camshaft position sensor is the easiest to replace because its right there sticking out underneath the cam valve cover, but the Crankshaft position sensor is the one that will take you awhile because of its location. That video i posted above is for the 2.5 or 4 cylinder models, not sure if you have the 2.5 or the 3.5, good luck.

What you replaced is the camshaft sensor. Now you need to replace the crankshaft sensor.
