No Spark to plug
Please read following things in have done.
Changed spark plugs, Cam and Crank sensors, Checked and reChecked Relays, Cleaned Maf, Changed Throttle Body, Rotated Coils 1 Cylinder at time a total of 4 times, Checked Volts and Ground @ Connection. Checked Ground on Frame and Trans. Checked Fuses. Now to problem. 2002 Nissan Altima 2.5L 4 cyl No spark @ Cyl # 2 all coil are good, rotated to every cyl all work but at 2 No power to accelerate from stop, loss of power in higher gears. Had problems both and after changing parts. Cant think of anything else at the moment. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Speed in getting this fixed is in high demand, my wife has missed 2 day of work. |

Oops! you said all coils are working except no spark on cyl. #2. you need to test the power circuit for short or broken wire. refer to engine control manual.

I thought disconnecting the positive terminal from the battery was to reset the ECM, but you are disconnecting both the positive and negative and then touching them together? Wouldn't that short circuit the electrical system or something?

verify you soldering job again. just disconnect negative batt. cable for 30 minutes, its long enough to erase the trouble code. when disconnecting batt. cables, always disconnect the negative cable first.

Now you have no spark in one ignition coil or on all 4 ignition coils. If no spark on all coils, Check Timing. |
