Default ignition coil melt after remote start install

hi guys i was trying to install remote start got tach signal from ignition coil and i put the key in and crank the car it started vibrating i drove for little bit the engine check light came on got it checked at autozone it was p0304 misfire on fourth cylinder so i checked ignition coil it was melted bought new one and put in it melted that one too in few mins i did tap in to ignition switch for RS but i took all the wires out n tried it stil did the same i dont know whats causing it the same one that is burning up!!

What wire did you connect to at the coil? Was your connection at #4 coil?

i did connect at #4 it said not to conected red or black so i use the green yellow wire..i also disconnected my battery terminal i dont know if anything has to do with that..i check the ground wire it seem in pretty good shape

Is the negative battery cable still connected at the transmission case? It connects in 2 locations, the inner fender and on the transmission case.

ya the ground is fine i meter the green/yellow wire its showing constant 14v

i suspect its the ecm ill do testing on the harness of ecm for that wire and see if i need new ecm will the dealer be able program it outside of car? or does it need to be installed?

I would suggest to use the injector wire on number one cylinder. Ensure that you have the right wire from the remote start. Make sure that the wire you have going through firewall for tach wire is not shorting to ground or the main harness is not damaged coming through the firewall.

thanks i have faulty ecm..im trying to find it now what i dont understand is tht my ecm model number is mec85-561 a1 6117 and n2 in big letters..i found alot of a1/n2 but not 6117 is that number specific to jus one vehicle or somethin?

Usually they are need to get the part number of the ecm.

thanks i got it mec85-561 a1 big n2 matters nothing else that just manufactur number.. got it off ebay for $80 ..whats the procedure gettin programed and flash the ecm?
