2000 Altima no headlight driver side
I have a 2000 Altima SE that has lost the driver side headlight. The lamp is good but I am not getting any power to the socket. I have checked the wires going back about 6 inches from the socket and I am not getting power there either. Any ideas why?

Start with basics check all fuses, then work way back to switch til you find the open circuit. If the vehicle is equipped day time running light module check the output from there as well.

well if you have no ground than the voltage will not change at the headlamp socket either high or low. If there is a DTRL than chances are that is your problem.

The main issue is that I have zero voltage at the socket for both high and low. I have to get to the connector at the steering wheel to see if I have voltage at pin 8. If I don't, then most probably it is the switch. I will run a test on the ground - jump it out to see if the light comes on.

do you have daytime running lights? if not recheck the fuses, and check the output on the switch red/yellow wire, and red/black wire for left head lamp, and red /green and skyblue wire for rh head lamp. Ihope this helps.
