2004 2.5 Altima P1273
I recently had my oil changed. On the highway coming home I noticed a miss at 65mph. The car has power when requested. No vacuum leaks. New plugs, new tps sensor with factory relearn performed. It only happens above 50mph, but there is a def hesitation from the motor. The code is p1273. I really need some input on this. I can do the work myself but what should I changed. I don't think an o2 sensor would cause this. Perhaps my MAF??

I haven't had that problem before, but it almost sounds like your Altima has an intake leak. I wouldn't recommend replacing the MAF, but you could try cleaning it first.

I agree with Nissan Tech. Get a can of CRC MAF cleaner and spray liberally but DO NOT TOUCH the sensor. You can wipe the inside with a clean cloth and let it air dry b4 reinstalling.
While at it inspect your air filter as well. Shoot some compressed air or just get a new one if its dirty. |

Ok here is my update
So I deleted the codes. I cleaned the MaF sensor. I tripled checked for vacuum leaks. Is there a common area for altimas to leak? I physically inspected all the lines. I sprayed carb and choke cleaner to watch the idle change and it did not change. So I drove three hundre miles. The car once it hits 60 mph it starts to miss slightly. I give it gas and it goes away. Let the rpm down and it misses again. After 300 miles the light came back on. This time it was a p0420 code for the cat. I changed both o2 sensors to be sure it isn't them. It still has the same miss. Any ideas? Could a cat cause me to miss a bit? It's so consistant. Running out of patients here.

The 0420 is not a O2 sensor code. I just replaced my rear (post-cat) with a code 1147.
Many owners refer to this as the dreaded code. Its your pre-cat. Have it inspected and consult your manual for warranty info. IDK how many miles she's got. |

About 104k miles on it. Would the cat cause a miss though? Also the cat is not making any noise. I have no hesitation until high mph.

There are dozens of threads here on this issue. All code 0420 points to the Cat. What happens is the catalyst starts breaking up. In severe cases, it clogs your system. In others like excessive oil consumption.

This is true. Check the convertor to see if there is catalyst in the convertor. Remove the top O2 sensor and look in you will see. If it is missing monitor for oil consumption. I would remove your spark plugs and check for fouling.
