Altima 2011 Vs. 2012
Hello.
Since my '01 Pathy met an untimely death... Having better gas mileage, I have decided to go with an Altima 3.5SR. Since we're past have way through 2011, I was thinking that I would just go with a 2012 model. But, considering the incentives that Nissan is offering, maybe I should go with the 2011. Does anyone know of any reason, maybe some amazing improvement or problem resolution, to go with the 2012? I tend to hang on to vehicles, so I'm not concerned with resale in 2-3 years. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Sorry to heard about your pathfinder, but I'm glad that you are considering another Nissan.
Both year models are the same: 2011 Nissan Altima Sedan Specifications | Nissanhelp.com 2012 Nissan Altima Sedan Specifications | Nissanhelp.com As you can read from here: The 2012 Nissan Lineup: Charting the Changes. There are no that many enhancements from the 2011 to the 2012 models. So, if you can get good factory incentives, I recommend getting the 2011.

NissanTech, thanks for your reply. After looking through as much spec's and doc that I could, I saw very minor differences. All cosmetic. I'll have to agree. Since I will hang on to the car for it's full life span and the dealer incentives, I'll go with the 2011.

I got a 2012.
I got a 2012 2.5SE. I got a good price on it at MTN. VIEW Nissan Super Center in Chattanooga, Tn. It was a internet sale and was easy! So easy my family got two of them! Only about 400 on it now and I like it. If your around TN Call Gregg Norris @ 432-756-1500 he was great to deal with. I live about 200miles away from Chattanooga and no one around here could beat the price he gave me like about $5000 off list. Hope this helps you or someone else.

littlejoe10, thanks for the advice. I'm about 550 away. No big deal.... Although I would be worried about the first 500 being highway miles. I will check it out though.

I can understand the 550miles away. But my brother drove the car back and I drove a 99olds 88 and it was pouring down rain and he was doing 80 and 90 miles all the way. Sometimes I had to do 110miles to keep up with him as he was going in and out of cars on the interstate as he was useing the man 6speed trans. Thats when I would what the car to take a shit-the first few miles and the dealer has to deal with it! Just saying
