code help 0340 0920
Hello, first time poster. I've tried google searching with no/limited success.
A little background. I had codes 0400, 0325 and 0141. I tracked that down to being the egr solenoid sensor valve causing all of that. I replaced it and reset the ecm using the manual method of turning the little screw on the unit itself. Immediately I got two new codes. 0340, cps and 0920, gear shift forward actuator circuit/open. Why/how were these codes not already there? The 0340 is the cps but I read to check inside the distributor for oil to clear that code which I'll try. Any other suggestions? The second is more puzzling, and scary. I can't get an exact answer on how to diagnose, repair or replace this. One thing I found said it could be on the inside or outside and also mentioned a total tranny rebuild. NO!! I recently drained and filled the fluid which was amost 4 qts. That was a couple of weeks ago. It's at the correct level when hot. Again, this code just showed up now. Any advice or suggestions on all this? Maybe should have two separate threads... TIA |
