1994 Altima Temperature Gauge Fix
Would it be easier to fix the one I have or just install an after market?
Also if I install an after market would it be better to have a mechanical one or an electric one, and which would be easier of those to install/how would you install one? |

If you're sure the dash gauge is the actual problem, you can get one used from another Altima in the junkyard or on Ebay and it should work out just fine.

Well I have no idea if it's the wire, the gauge, or the actual the thing that reads the temperature. Well I was wondering more if it would be harder to install an after market gauge that was electrical or one that was mechanical?
And how difficult is it in general? |

Gauge
Another gauge will not solve your problem if for instance, the sensor is bad.
I would get to the root of the problem first before adding/replacing any parts. |

How would you suggest diagnosing what part is keeping the gauge from working?

Follow the downloaded shop manuals on this website to try to eliminate what is working and what's not.
