2002 Altima Key Fob Programming
I bought a used fob off Ebay, an OEM unit that matches the FCC ID on the chart on this forum.
Are there some instructions for programming the fobs that are a bit clearer? I looked at those on the forum and they seem a bit confusing. Was wondering if someone has done it and has some clear directions. One original OEM unit works fine, the second one is damaged and I want to have two good working fobs. Thanks for any additional help! |

Tech:
I guess the way it's written seemed confusing. I found basically the same instructions (albeit a bit clearer) online. I think I'm good to go now :). Thinking about it, I probably can get away without reprogramming anything. She is missing the back half of one of the original fobs. That's the only problem. If I take the fob she has now and use the back of the one I'm buying and throw in a new battery, shouldn't it be programmed? If not, I'll do the program on the "new" fob as well as the one she has that works now, so in the end I'll have two correctly programmed units...... |

Thanks, Tech. That's what I'll do. I'll keep the remnants of the "new" one for parts in case it's needed in the future.

Thanks to all who replied. As it turns out, the board of the old fob was missing a part. I used the one I bought and reprogrammed both of them using the procedures on this forum and online.
Works like a charm! |
