If the problem is the fan not coming on when its suppose to, then why do you need to bleed your cooling system. The only time you bleed your cooling system is when you suspect the overheating is caused by air in the cooling system, usually after some repair is made in your cooling system, i.,e,. radiator replacement, water pump replacement, etc., etc. Tell us what has been done to your car and if the overheating was a result after the job was done.

If the overheating occurred without any work done in your cooling system, then it may be caused by bad radiator, bad water pump, cracked engine, or blown head gasket, bad T-stat, etc., etc., etc.

Oh I see. Simply fill radiator with coolant and start car and let it idle with rad. cap off. Check rad. coolant level and add if needed. After about 45 seconds of idle, turn heater to high and blower fan to high. Back to radiator and see coolant is circulating smoothly with no bubbles. Back to cabin and verify you have heat, if you do that's good. Back to radiator and you see coolant starts to rise as temp. increases - re-install radiator cap and you're done.
