Unhappy 06 Altima SES,SLIP,TCS OFF lights- Advice

Hi, I have an 06 Altima with 41k miles. All of a sudden as I was driving, the SES light, SLIP light and the TCS OFF light appeared. And the car was not revving properly. It also could reach speeds of only about 45-50mph. And at that speed the revs showed around 2 and when I tried to increase the speed I could not do it and the revs stayed at 2.

So what do I do now? I am planning to take it to the dealer tomorrow. Is this a serious problem and what will it cost? It is also just out of warranty. Can I ask the dealer for any goodwill warranty?

I hope it`s not something really major. I had a Sentra before. Never had this happen.
Will really appreciate your responses. Thanks.

Sounds like you may have problem with the throttle body. If decide on fixing the problem yourself, I suggest starting by getting the code for the SES light. Some autoparts or independent shop will check the code free for you.

Thanks, I am planning to take it to the dealer. Also ,I have a query. Will this be covered warr? Since I am just over the mileage by 5k miles and the time by 5 months - will Nissan cover it as it is a known defect. If not does this come under the Power train warr?
And in the worst case scenario, what would be the maximum repair price at the Nissan dealer??

Thanks a lot for your response.Really appreciate it.

I don't think you really needed to ask that first question, the answer should be obvious.

My understanding is C$300-$1000 depending on whether you need parts or just a cleaning and recalibrate.
