Default Strange Smell from Air Conditioning

Hello All,

I have this damp/"wet dog" smell coming from my air vents inside my Altima (2007 Model 2.5S).

The smell would only appear right after the air conditioning is turned off (air conditioning has been running for a while), and goes away after a few minutes with natural air circulation. I cannot smell anything while the air conditioning is running, or just running natural air circulation.

The dealership sprayed some disinfectant fluid into the air filters, however this did not solve the problem.

Was wondering if any of the people on the forum experience the same problem, and what is the solution?

Thanks.

replace the incabin air filter. Once mildew have attached to the filter disinfectant will not work.
