Default Front brake rotor thickness

I had the front brake pads replaced today at the local dealer. The final report says that my rotors' thickness is 22.47mm (left) and 22.36mm (right).
I check the service manual and it states that the minimum thickness is 26mm, but they didn't suggest the rotors to be replaced and the car always gets a good score in the free break inspection...

Can I trust the brakes with the thickness of the rotors below the factory recommended value?

Some states require that they follow the mfg.min. thk.and replace as required. It should have been brought to your attention and recommended that they be replaced.Check your local laws (i.e.state inspection). In virginia i smell free brakes...

I believe 26 is the new rotor thickness on the altima.

From the altima 2005 brake system service manual (page BR-31):

Thickness Inspection
Using a micrometer, check thickness of the disc rotor. If thickness does not meet specification, replace disc rotor.

Standard thickness : 28 mm (1.10 in)
Minimum thickness : 26 mm (1.02 in)
Maximum uneven wear (measured at 8 positions): 0.015 mm (0.0006 in) or
less

If that is correct then you should get a set of rotors for your car.

Some update. the min rotor thickness depends on the brake model. There are two different models: CLZ25VD and CLZ25VE

Min. Thickness VD 0.866 in (22.0 mm)
Min. Thickness VE 1.02 in (26.0 mm)

Does anybody know what's the difference between these models are and which Altimas are equipped with what?

I'm not positive but I think the VE may be the SER Altima brakes. From what I can tell by the service manuals it appears that the maxima also has the VE specs.
