Unhappy Annoying Sound - Driving me Crazy!

Hey Guys,
I have a 2008 Altima Coupe 2.5 S. I have this annoying rattle like sound coming from the front dash area passenger side....I THINK! I'm not loosing it but the noise kinda sounds like the computerized turning indicator. You hear it whenever you drive slowly over bumps. I thought it was the A pillar (potentially the airbag module). Does anyone know what im talking about? On top of this one annoying rattle I have several other rattles in the car. Sounds like the center console area along with the back panels near the small rear window.

maybe some body panels are loose, look over and see if u can find it. sometimes exhaust pipes can rattle if they are not tightly secured or could be the heat sheild. i would hust take it to the dealer and have them inspect it. go for a drive with them while you are in the car with them.

Default Unwanted noise from the front passenger side dash.

I have the same issue. I think it's from the front passenger side dash. The grill for the tweeter seems to be the culprit it's a low pitched buzz.

This is not a problem with your stereo, it's a side affect of RF Modulation of your GSM phone. (AT&T, formerly Cingular, T-Mobile, and several other carriers use GSM. Verizon and Sprint use CDMA which doesn't have this problem. Similarly, AT&T and T-Mobile UMTS or 3G use a CDMA technology and you won't here the buzz from these phones unless they have switched over to GSM to maintain coverage.)

To avoid the buzz just move your phone away from the stereo head unit, or switch to 3G, Verizon, or Sprint. (Note: I'm work in the industry but I am not associated with any of these operators so I don't stand to gain anything here.)

I have had all these squeaks and rattles. They are more audible when its cold out. I have not been able to track any down. It sounds like the dash, A-Pillars, and Headliner. I am thinking about buying some Dynamat seeing what happens. I love the car, but can't stand all the noise. I wish Nissan would do something about it! Lol..... HAHAHAHAHA Right?

Squeak and rattles can be covered by factory warranty, 3 years/36k miles. If you're still in, I would take it back.

Default There is a fix!

I had the same problem in the same area. Sounded like a computer ticking noise.
The problem is the A Pillar on the passenger side. Carefully remove it trying not to touch the airbag. There is a clip at the bottom of the panel that is loose, all you need to do is remove it and add it back, slam it back into place and replace the rubber back over the panel.

Noise is gone for good!

Hope this helps.

I have an AT&T phone on the EDGE network and it does the same thing.

That is correct, and is expected. GSM is the overall technology. GPRS and EDGE are acronyms that denote the packet data (i.e. WAP and Web browsing) portion of GSM. EDGE offers faster data rates over GPRS. So your EDGE phone uses the GSM system and is capable of sending packet data over the EDGE or GPRS channels.

Default Noise

I had a noise too but it was more towards the passanger seat. I finally figured out the seat belt was tapping the piller. I got one of those soft shoulder covers, wrapped around the belt and covered the metal part of the belt(clip/clapse) and it stopped it. No more tap tap.
The other day the tap was back. My wife road with me and the cover wasn't over the metal of the belt after she got out. Same noise, slide the belt cover back up and it stopped. Worth thr $6.99 for the cover. Got black it's not even noticable.
