Default What is this indicator light for?

I just realize that there is an indicator light on the right side of the tachometer, above the instrument brightness control. Its shape is round with 5 bar underneath. I look for the information of this indicator light from the user manual but could not find it. Would someone please let me know what is this for and do I need to worry about it?

Thanks.

The question is for my 2008 Altima Coupe. The color of the indicator light is white. I attached the picture of this indicator light from the User Manual (page 2-31: Instruments and Controls)

Thanks,
Chinh

Hey isn't that for the bright/dim adjustment for the dash lights?

I have 1900 miles on my '09 Altima that I've owned for about a month. I have never seen this light before until 2 days ago. It just turned on and has stayed on all the time since.

Does anyone know why it just turned on all of a sudden? Why hasn't it always been there? I can't seem to get an answer from anyone at my dealership.

Its not the same one were talking about here. This one is always on next to the dimmer knob. Could it be your low tire pressure warning? All the warning lights show just before you hit the start button (I just checked). They are in the owner book too.

Its not the tire pressure light, its exactly the one shown in the user manual for the dimmer control and it is right next to the control. I can't believe I just haven't noticed it before 2 days ago... I spent the first couple weeks going through everything and just playing with all the knobs and stuff.

Just wondering if anyone else had any issues or history with the same problem and would know why the light wasn't on before.

Default LOL

LOL. I took a test drive with the salesman and he couldn't find the knob the first time around (neither could I). He was the Subaru salesman its a combo dealer Nissa / Suburu. So don't feel bad. I think its a painted (white) indicator and you probly only noticed it when the inside was darker, like at night, then it would look lite up.
