2003-2006 NISSAN MURANO; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN FUEL TANK PROTECTORS
Nissan has determined that some 2003-2006 model year Nissan Murano vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. If the front tires run over a small, sharp object in the road, there is a possibility that a front tire may propel it towards the rear of the vehicle. Due to the location of the fuel tank, the object may strike the forward portion of the tank. This could result in a puncture in the tank and a fuel leak. If an ignition source is present, a fire could occur. To prevent this condition from occurring, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign to install protectors in front of the fuel tank free of
charge.

2003-2005 NISSAN MURANO; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN SECOND-ROW SEAT BELT PROTECTORS
Nissan has determined that some 2003-2005 model year Nissan Murano vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. There is the possibility that in certain high speed frontal crashes, the webbing of the rear seat belt may be cut by the rear seat back hinge. If the webbing is completely separated, it could affect the risk of injury in a crash. To prevent this condition from occurring, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign to install protectors on the webbing of the rear seat belts free of charge.

2003-2005 NISSAN MURANO; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN ALTERNATOR
Nissan has determined that some 2003-2005 model year Nissan Murano vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. There is a possibility that a wire breaking inside the alternator could stop the battery from charging. If this happens, the charge warning and brake warning lamps will immediately come on and the battery will begin to discharge. After a short time, the engine will go into a "fail safe" condition which will limit vehicle speed. Very shortly after this, the engine will stop running. To prevent this condition from occurring, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign to inspect and, if necessary, replace the alternator.

2000-2003 SENTRA, MAXIMA, 2002 ALTIMA, 2003 MURANO, 350Z; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN ENGINE SENSORS
Nissan has determined that some 2000-2003 model year Nissan vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. The engine might stop running while being driven if the crank position sensor or cam position sensor fails. This may also result in the "Service Engine Soon" light coming on or reduced engine power. If the engine stops running while driving, this could result in a crash without warning.

2003 NISSAN MURANO; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR
Nissan has determined that there is a possibility that a nut in the transmission shift lever linkage may not have been properly tightened. This may result in the transmission not actually being in the gear indicated by the gear selector lever. In addition the transmission position display in the instrument panel may not be ON or may be incorrect. If the gear displayed is different from the gear engaged, this could result in unexpected vehicle movement and a crash. To prevent this condition from occurring, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign to check the affected nut in the transmission shift lever linkage, and tighten it if necessary.
