VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; INFORMATION TO PREVENT CVT REPLACEMENT DUE TO MISDIAGNOSIS OF NOISE
With the engine running and the vehicle on a hoist, noise heard from the CVT may be louder (in Park, Neutral, Drive, or Reverse) than a non-CVT type transmission.
CVT transmissions are much louder without drive load, which may lead to misdiagnosis.
VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; FRONT SONAR PARKING SENSOR SERVICE INFORMATION
When diagnosing the front sonar parking sensor for unwanted activation (e.g. sonar activates with no obstacle ahead), inspect the front license plate, front license plate frame and if equipped, the front license plate bracket.
VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEY REPLACEMENT OR SWAPPING BETWEEN VEHICLES
The Intelligent Keys used on the various Nissan vehicles may not be interchangeable between models and years.
VARIOUS NISSAN; SERVICING RUN FLAT TIRES AND LOW PROFILE TIRES EQUIPPED WITH TPMS SENSORS
When servicing run flat tires or low profile tires:
Special equipment and procedures are required to avoid damage.
Specifically, Tire Pressure Monitor transmitters (TPMS sensors) can be damaged when improperly dismounting and mounting tires.
TPMS sensors becoming damaged during mounting or dismounting tires are not covered under warranty.
To avoid such damage, ensure that the tire changer being used and the operator of the tire changer are capable of servicing run flat and low profile tires.

ALL NISSAN MODELS; DIAGNOSIS OF POOR ACCELERATION OR LACK OF POWER
If a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair:
Check for stored DTCs.
Check if the driver is resting their left foot on the brake pedal while accelerating. Advise the customer not to rest their foot on the brake while accelerating.
Use CONSULT-III plus in Engine Data Monitor to check operation of the brake lamp circuit signal. Monitor the brake switch during the incident; it should be “OFF”.
