2008 – 2009 ALTIMA HYBRID; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN ECM REPROGRAM
Nissan has determined that on some 2008 and 2009 Model Year Altima Hybrid vehicles, the Engine Control Module (ECM) may not retain the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) during some operating conditions. If the ECM does not retain the VIN, the VIN will not display at the appropriate times when using On Bard Diagnostic (OBD) equipment, and
affected vehicles will likely therefore fail an emissions test. To remedy this condition, Nissan is conducting this Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the ECM at no charge for parts or labor.

2007–2009 VARIOUS NISSAN MODELS; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN PASSENGER AIR BAG OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS)
Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Recall Campaign to inspect the Occupant Classification System (OCS) Varistor located in the front passenger seat cushion. A special tool will be used for the inspection. If the inspection results are OK, no further action is necessary. If the special tool indicates an OCS Varistor issue, the seat cushion assembly will be
replaced. We anticipate that less than 1% of the affected vehicles will require seat cushion
replacement.

2007–2008 NISSAN ALTIMA SEDAN, ALTIMA HYBRID, 2008 ALTIMA COUPE; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN BODY CONTROL MODULE / TPMS
Nissan has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in some 2007 and 2008 model year Nissan Altima vehicles. The vehicles affected by this campaign had the Body Control Module (BCM) replaced during service at a Nissan dealership after October 1, 2007 and before November 30, 2007. During that service, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may have been inadvertently deactivated due to an issue with
the dealer service software. If the TPMS is turned off, it would not alert the driver to a decrease in the tire pressure as designed. Driving on under-inflated tires is unsafe and could result in a crash. To correct this potential condition Nissan is conducting a Voluntary
Safety Recall Campaign to check the TPMS function and reactivate it if necessary.
