The p0725 code is from the crank sensor. It measures engine speed not transmission speed.
Also you will want to put the updated sensor in for the crank sensor. The aftermarket ones are the defective ones that Nissan stopped selling.

Yes sir, I did replace 2 sensors. One was easy to get to, and one was in the side of the block down below and harder to get to. If I remember correctly. It's been awhile....maybe 6 months.

I do not remember if there was oil on the sensor, but this makes sense and I know I didn't clean out the hole.

The P0725 sheet that autozone gave us reads....

Engine Speed Signal Circuit
Probable cause

aa1. Open or short circuit
aa2. Poor electrical connection
aa3. Faulty, TCM

I was figured this was causing the hard shifting from 1st to 2nd...the TCM.

I will be purchasing a new OEM sensor for the crank from Nissan, and cleaning out the hole.

I figured that this was the problem....where exactly is this, on the transaxle?

Thanks so much for your help!!
