I believe that my mechanic is a very close friend who does this job to save me money over what a dealer would charge. (twice as much) In the past he has worked on all my vehicles(5) and is the only mechanic I'll use. I am confident as he is that the knock sensor is where it is, for a reason. Moving it could send false readings to the ecu which in turn could cause numerous other problems. My local dealership says the knock sensors are not a typical problem on these trucks, but I read otherwise everywhere on the web. I was just asking if anyone knows of a Nissan approved fix.
